Dialysis today with Chloe and Ed. A scrabble game is planned - need to remember to take the dictionary this time. With my scrambled brain it may be an interesting game! I am looking forward to hearing all about Eds cycle ride form London to Paris last week. Not sure I could even get on a bike at the moment let alone cycle.
Thank you so much for your prayers about the chemo it seems to have gone well with very little side effects despite having very little fluid and no steroids. It is amazing to know that in the middle of all of this muddle God is still answering our prayers and concerned about the nitty gritty stuff.
Look out for all the ship science words Ed will no doubt use in scrabble (he's making them up!) HBC went well yesterday - very muggy but that didn't seem to worry the children. Everything seemed to work together to get the message across. Chatting with 7-8 year olds is very different to dealing with teenagers. We'll be thinking of you today.

mmm ship science words - must be in the dictionary! No made up words. Looking forward to seeing you at the weekend. xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Anne, haven't commented before but been reading your blog and praying for you. At hbc yesterday David said that there are 285 children attending each day this year, it's fantastic to be part of it. I was helping in early arrivals yesterday - there was a lovely calm atmosphere, although Helen and i got rather frustrated trying to master the art of scoobies!
ReplyDeleteLove and prayers, Claudia x
I am not a scrabble lover, especially since the last time I played it - whilst giving birth. The nurse thought it would be a good idea. It was therapeutic but you could tell how I was feeling by the words I was coming up with! Not so humid at HBC today. Nice that all my group of children came for a second day, with one addition. Please pray about the wasps - we have had lots of stings today especially at lunchtime. Much love xx
ReplyDeleteClaudia how lovely to hear from you. It sounds like HBC is going well. 285 children - wow. I also have memories of scoobies being tricky. We made them one year at school in the playground- most of the children were better than me! I hope you are feeling much better yourself.
ReplyDeleteMuch love Anne xxx
Surprisingly, James is a dab hand at scoobies. It was one of the activities he used to do as a boy and hasn't forgotten it. I have lovely memories of being on holiday in Brittany and him teaching our children (who were much younger!) how to do various styles and they loved it. much love, Fiona xx
